NBC has finally woken up and smelt the coffee when it comes to the TV viewer's love of limited mini-series. NBC boss, Bob Greenblatt announced that his network has ordered a four hour mini-series based on Hillary Clinton. Diane Lane has been earmarked for the role and casting is now on the go for Bill Clinton's character.
This comes after NBC ordered a six-part mini series on Cleopatra and according to The Hollywood Reporter, they also ordered an: "Updated remake of Rosemary's Baby, a new version of Stephen King's Tommyknockers and another limited series from Mark Burnett tentatively called Plymouth."
The mini-series, titled Hilary, will be based on her life as a mother, wife, a poltician and her years as Senator. It'll begin during Clinton's years as first lady during the second term of her husband's tenure as POTUS and will also possibly include her expected run for Presidency at the 2016 elections.
The series will be written and directed by Courtney Hunt.
