This is glorious news! TV stars, BFFs and awesome comedienne's Amy Poehler (excellent as Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation) and Tina Fey (the amazing Liz Lemon on 30 Rock) will be hosting the Golden Globe awards for the next two years!
This is not surprising after doing such a great job this year and also getting great ratings- 19.7 million viewers tuned in for the awards show, a six year high and a 28% increase compared to last year's awards, which were hosted by British comic Ricky Gervais.
Paul Telegdy, NBC's president of alternative and light night programming (what an odd title, no?) said: “Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business, and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season. We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”
