Tagline: Love is what you can still betray
Bubu Mazibuko plays Khosi Hlatswayo, the minister's wife. Perfect politico trophy bride. Elegant. Beautiful. Chic. Charming Socialite. Always in control (despite a small discreet drinking problem). Passionate. Idealistic. Big-hearted. Shelved her degree and dreams for her husband's career, and service to charity. Enjoys the wealth, glitz and glam, but inside... she's dying.
Hlomla Dandala plays Jet Hlatshwayo, the Minister of Environment. He's handsome. Smart. Sophisticated. Charming. Charismatic. Loves the ladies. And games. Considers himself a man of the common people. Idealistic, but easily corrupted. Ruthlessly strategic.
Yonda Thomas plays Thato Kunene, assigned by the government to the household as driver and security to the Hlatshwayo's. Movie-Star looks. Smart as they come. With a body carved out of stone. Subtle. Sexy. Centred and calm. Charming, with your best friend's eyes - until you look closer - then you see the Mamba. Hard and cold as a glacier, but Khosi is the only woman that ever thawed his heart. Troubled violent childhood, son of a philandering gambling father who killed Thato's mother right in-front of him. Which inspired Thato to embrace a life of honour, duty and integrity. But his professional world of shadows and secrets is compromised when he opens up to, and falls in love with...Khosi.
Dineo Nchebeleng plays Ayanda Hlatshwayo, daughter of Khosi and Jet. Pretty. Spoilt. Innocent. Fiercely intelligent. Sassy. Streetwise. Naively idealistic. With a deep crush on Thato and a rebellious streak against her parents and society. In denial about her dad's affairs. Charismatic leader of the Hacktivist pack. Cyber-Blogger and Revolutionary, her online activism arcs her character into the alter-ego persona No1.
Sthandiwe Kgoroge plays Nozipho Kunene, the deputy president. She's maternal, warm, hidden steel. One of the most powerful minds in the country. Wields law, politics and her power the way a Samurai wields a Katana. But it's all completely invisible. Subtle.
