We received a statement earlier today, from Multichoice, the parent company of DStv and M-Net on the passing of our former president, Nelson Mandela.

“It is a sad day for the MultiChoice family and for our nation.  The loss of our beloved Tata Madiba will be felt for a very long time.  Tata’s contribution to our country has been immeasurable and his teachings will always be a part of us - leading us towards a better future.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mandela family during this sad time. Madiba – you will be sorely missed,” Nolo Letele, Executive Chairman, MultiChoice.

MultiChoice is honouring his memory in a special channel on 199 on DStv and several DStv channels will be running tributes.
