Happy 20th Anniversary Generations

Connie Ferguson and Sello Maake ka Ncube as siblings, Karabo and Archie Moroka on Generations
Today, 20 years ago, the most watched show in South Africa, Generations, premiered on SABC 1. 20 years later it's still on air and it kick started many actors' careers. Most have gone on to have successful careers. The only remaining original cast member is Sophie Ndaba, who plays the comic Queen Moroka.

The SABC 1 decided to celebrate the soap's 20th anniversary last year, by screening 20 of it's iconic and game changing episodes.

While it's a popular show to hatewatch (it really has some odd story lines) we wish them all the best for a further 20 years. And may the internal, production drama the soap is currently facing, come to an end. Soon. It's getting a big heartbreaking at how ridiculous the story lines have become too. And can Sophie Ndaba be given top billing again? We miss her ditsy blonde-ness on screen.
