March Premiere for Lindsay Lohan Documentary Series: Lindsay (But not in SA)

The eight-part documentary series Lindsay, about Lindsay Lohan's life after court ordered rehab, will premiere on 9 March 2014 on Oprah Winfrey's OWN. The docu-series is directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Amy Rice and it follows Lohan on her journey through recovery.

After interviewing her for her Oprah's Next Chapter show, Oprah commissioned the series on Lindsay's recovery and filming started last year.

OWN released a statement about the show, saying that: "Lindsay is strikingly candid about her situation and is more determined than ever to get back on her feet."The statement also added that: "In this honest, no-holds-barred account, viewers will see an intimate, unflinching look into the life of one of the world's most sought-after celebrities. Cameras follow Lindsay as she returns to New York, reunites with friends and family, and attempts to build a new life. As she works to stay on track amid the demands (and pitfalls) of fame, she opens up as never before, discussing everything from her emotional recovery process to her exhausting run-ins with the paparazzi."

We have sent out a request to Discovery SA, to find out when the show will be seen on TLC. We are still waiting for a response.

UPDATE: Discovery got back to us about their plans to air the series and this is the response we got: "We have no current plans to air the series in Africa."
