BAFTA TV Award Nominees

We sometimes forget that the UK's award season is still on the go when most are over. Not that it's a bad thing- it's great. We get to look forward to some of our favourite and international shows get awarded what's due to them.

The UK has given us some great TV this past year. Broadchurch, The Fall, Top of the Lake, Sherlock and The Politician's Husband. All were amazing and the best thing about them, was that they didn't drag on. They all had less than 10 episodes, will others had less than five. In an era of TV where the viewer wants instant gratification, this is always great. Give us the story. Give it to us now. Let us binge watch it- or if we want, let us take time to grow into it. And then afterwards, we get to talk about how amazing it was. That's exactly what I've done. The UK and Central Europe are for me, the current leaders of great TV.

The nominees for the BAFTA TV Awards 2014 were announced early this morning and topping the pile with the most nominations are Southcliffe and It Crowd. Our favourites, Broadchurch and The Fall are nominated, as are international shows, Game of Thrones, House of Cards and Breaking Bad.
