The rumour mill, led by @Barry_Clarke93, is working over time with news of hosts, judges etc and the big one is that Bantwini will be joining X-Factor SA as the 'Simon Cowell' of the show: head judge.
It's not a surprising decision, especially since Zakes is head A&R for Sony Music Africa and the winner will get a R300 000 recording deal from Sony.
The KwaMashu born and raised musician has built his name as a talent scout and musician, having scouted kwaito musician, Lvovo Derrango and also released two critically acclaimed dance music albums and a DVD. He's a prolific performer and one of the best that South Africa has.
He's studied music and in an interview with Buhle Mbonambi in 2011, he revealed that he would love to be more involved in the arts and culture departments of government, to ensure that the arts are taken seriously in the country.
So is it true? We don't know. But we like how news is slowly trickling out. SABC 1 and Rapid Blue will have NO choice but to soon reveal what is happening. Today already!
