What's Happening?

@Rosie O'Donell returns to #TheView and @ehasselbeck is ANGRY

"Talk about not securing the border... Here in comes to The View the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and, really, in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there — coming back with a bunch of control, ready to regain a seat at The View table. Not surprising, I think that it's been in the works for a long time."- Elisabeth Hasseleck (2014, Fox & Friends)

So Elisabeth Hasselbeck is angry that Rosie O'Donell, her former (or still is?) nemesis, is back on ABC's daytime talker, The View. Elisabeth and Rosie had a very hectic relationship, which always got nasty as they had such polarizing views on the war, George Bush and everything that was polar opposites of what they believed in.

She said the above comment, on her show, Fox and Friends. They called her while she was on vacation, saying she didn't approve of the return of Rosie on the Barbara Walters created and produced show. So there's still bad blood there.

Rosie's return to the show has been welcomed by many, who felt that The View had long since lost relevance, especially with recent panelists, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd basically not adding anything intellectually interesting to the show. Now that Jenny was fired and Sherri left, Whoopi Goldberg is the sole remaining panelist for next season, which then means that there needs to be new people joining her.

Rosie is a fine choice. While she was moderator on the show, it boasted impressive ratings and people cared about the show. Even CBS realised they just had to have their own version of the show and The Talk, with Julie Chen, was born.

No other panelist has been announced, but rumours are Barbara and ABC are looking for a Latina celebrity and also a conservative panelist to join Whoopi and Rosie.

It's going to be interesting and we can't wait until the full panel is announced.
“I don't think it would be wise for Rosie O'Donnell to challenge Whoopi Goldberg on anything,” Hassellbeck added. “I really don't.”
“I do believe that this has been in the works for a long, long time,” she concluded. “She seemed to have a lot of control for Barbara's farewell show.”- Elisabeth to
Fox & Friends
As for Elisabeth, can she stay at Fox & Friends? No one really even takes the show seriously, with its alarmist views!
