New TV Shows for 2014/15: CBS

It's soon going to be the start of the new TV season and besides our favourite shows making a return, there are a bunch of new shows that we can look forward to.

While some may only come weeks, months or even years later, to local TV screens, we still can look forward to these shows. After all we can't deny that some people are able to stream these shows.

Here are the shows we can expect on CBS this year

The Show: Battle Creek
The Stars: Josh Duhamel, Dean Winters, Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Damon Herriman, Liza Lapira, Aubrey Dollar, Edward Fordham Jr., Dustin Ybarra
The Production Team: Vince Gilligan, David Shore, Mark Johnson, Bryan Singer
Premise: Based on a 2002 spec, the drama centers on two detectives with very different world views who are teamed up. Together, they must answer the question: Is cynicism, guile and deception enough to clean up the semi-mean streets of Battle Creek, Mich., in the face of a complete lack of resources; or is the exact opposite true -- it takes naivete, trust and a boatload of resources?

The Show: CSI: Cyber
The Star: Patricia Arquette, James Van Der Beek, Charley Koontz, Peter MacNicol, Shad "Bow Wow" Moss
The Production Team: Anthony E. Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Mary Aiken
Premise: Technology, as we know it, has amplified human behavior to the point where faceless criminals are committing crimes at global proportions with a touch of a button. Avery Ryan, special agent in charge at the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI in Quantico, Va., is tasked to solve high-octane crimes that start in the mind, live online, and play out into the real world.

The Show: Madam Secretary
The Stars: Tea Leoni, Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth, Geoffrey Arend, Patina Miller, Erich Bergen, Katherine Herzer
The Production Team: Barbara Hall, Morgan Freeman, Lori McCreary, Tracy Mercer, David Semel
Premise: Centers on the personal and professional life of a maverick female Secretary of State as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life.

The Show: The McCarthys
The Stars: Jack McGee, Joey McIntyre, Jimmy Dunn, Tyler Ritter, Laurie Metcalf, Kelen Coleman
The Production Team: Brian Gallivan, Will Gluck, Richie Schwartz, Mike Sikowitz
Premise: A family comedy about a loud, sports-crazed Boston clan.

The Show: The Odd Couple
The Stars: Matthew Perry, Thomas Lennon, Lindsay Sloane, Wendell Pierce
The Production Team: Matthew Perry, Joe Keenan, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman
Premise: Based on Neil Simon's Broadway play, neat-freak photographer Felix Ungar is kicked out by his ex-wife Frances and moves in with his best friend, sports-writer Oscar Madison, whose ex-wife Blanche has left him because of his slobbiness. Now both divorcees will have to live in the same apartment in spite of their differences.

The Show: Scorpion
The Stars: Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Ari Stidham
The Production Team: Nick Santora, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Heather Kadin, Justin Lin, Scooter Braun, Walter O'Brien, Danny Rose, Danielle Woodrow, Troy Craig Poon, Scott Manson
Premise: Based on the life of Walter O'Brien, the drama revolves around an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses who form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age.

The Show: Stalker
The Stars: Maggie Q, Dylan McDermott, Mariana Klaveno, Victor Rasuk
The Production Team: Kevin Williamson, Liz Friedlander
Premise: The psychological thriller centers on a pair of detectives who handle stalking incidents for the Threat Management Unit of the LAPD.

Verdict: So many new shows, I just wonder which of them will be cancelled next year. Anyway I'm really looking forward to Vince Gilligan's Battle Creek, Madam Secretary and even Stalker. I don't know about The Odd Couple- how many chances can Matthew Perry get, really? But that being said, they have possible hits on the line up and it's going to be an interesting season.
